What does NDA stand for and what does that mean for me?

NDA stands for Non-Disclosure Agreement. An NDA is a legal contract between ArenaNet and you that states all content in the Guild Wars 2 Beta Events is confidential. By signing the NDA, you agree to not disclose that you are a participant in a Guild Wars 2 Beta Event and to not disclose any information about the content. Breaking the NDA can lead to legal proceedings.

Just some good news for all of you not getting an e-mail confirmation.
I mailed support ( before I got my own confirmation over 20 hours late) and they told me this:

Hello [my name in real life],

Thank you for your interest in the Guild Wars 2 beta event!

While you should receive your email confirmation, please be aware that the confirmation is not necessary to have successfully signed up for the event. Please rest assured that if you signed up for the beta event through www.guildwars2.com that your information has been submitted and that there are no additional steps that you need to take.

Take care,
[customer support employee]

Have they actually accepted anyone yet? Or have they only sent out confirmation emails?

Concise Description: If you get to be apart of the Beta, pretend you're in Las Vegas. What happens there, stays there. You tell no one, you show no one and you do not share anything to anyone except those who also took part in the Beta.

Well, then, I hope my wife gets in too - it'd be awfully hard to play without her seeing something!

My thoughts exactly. I can only yell at the wife "STOP LOOKING AT MY MONITOR!!!!!!!!!!" so many times before she gets suspicious.

Thats no problem. Just buy the boxed set of Desperate housewives and maybe the Dawn series on DVD as a backup plan and you will be fine

....so I went thru the sign up...and am listening to my hubby as he checks his email....seems he got an invite to sign up for the gw2 beta...(no he did not go to the site, wasnt even aware of gw2 doing betas etc)....
seems they want him (though after they see the specs of his computer they will wonder just how he is playing gw1 let alone load gw2!---low end has a really new meaning here).

none of my other accounts got invites to sign up....

ah well, doubt he would even have time to sign in for it anyways--(works 2 jobs et.al)....

That's probably just because he signed up for mail updates for GW2. I got such an email too.

no...he doesnt care about gw2 at all (wasnt even aware of it really until I mentioned it). perhaps when he started playing gw ~7 years ago he signed up for something .... but it seems strange since he rarely plays now.

If it was from "Guild Wars 2 Team [email protected] via bluehornet.com" then just keep in mind that I see maybe 3 or 4 emails a year from them. And usually for big content upgrades like Winds of Change, which probably wouldn't stand out to him like a beta sign up notification would.

no, he read it to me and it said something to the effect 'we would like you to join us for the guildwars beta.....please sign up now' it was most definitely about the beta and not some upgrade thing.

I can confirm with Cosy that people who signed up for Anets newsletter got an e-mail about the beta signup. Many of my friends received one.

Anets e-mail system is not the greatest I imagine. Many people had to resend their confirmation letter.

Well as over 1 million beta apps ,they are also looking at forward sales on boxes it also gives marketing a preview and the trend of supply and demand to fullfill.

So good luck to everyone we will need it to be picked out of the ammont of interest shown so far.
